Robert Kaplus is the Executive Vice President of Development and Operations for Real Property Specialists, Inc., and has more than 25 years of property management and development experience.  Mr. Kaplus is a Developer, Owner and  Partner in a number of retail developments.  Mr. Kaplus earned a B.B.S. degree from the University of Miami with credits for a dual major in Finance and Marketing.  He continued his career with Land Resources Corp., the Owner and Developer of numerous properties in the United States and Mexico including a 20 square mile development in Southwest Florida called Lehigh Acres.  Mr. Kaplus worked his way up in this company and became the Senior Vice President of all marketing and sales.  He was personally responsible for the employment of over 1100 employees and brokers in the U.S. and throughout the world, as well as, for the marketing and sales of all of the residences, residential lots, condominiums and the inception design, development and sales of its interval ownership projects; until his resignation in 1981 to begin his own interval ownership projects in the Orlando and Disney World area.

These interval ownership developments consisted of seven separate projects; five of which are in the Disney, Kissimmee area, one in Lake Buena Vista, Florida and the last on the ocean front in Miami Beach, Florida. The most recent and premier project Star Island Resort was one of the first 5-Star Interval Ownership projects in the United States.

In addition to the above, Mr. Kaplus successfully developed two gated lakefront one acre and ¾ acre residential developments in the Central Florida area; Magnolia Island and Magnolia Bay.

Since 1993 Mr. Kaplus has been a significant owner in the retail shopping center business.  In 2003 he extended this area of enterprise by creating Retail Investment Specialists, LLC for the explicit purpose of the development and ownership of retail shopping centers.  At present, Mr. Kaplus owns retail shopping centers as well as permitted tracts of land for future development and has recently completed development of a 44,000 sq ft retail center in Windermere, an upscale suburb of Orlando, Florida.

Mr. Kaplus continued his educational experience with the successful completion of the American Management Associations Executives Management Course, Florida Real Estate License and numerous courses and seminars through the American Resort Developers Association.
